Zucchini Blossom Market and Cafe -- with soups, salads (check out the bulgur wheat with feta and olives; the only minor issue is that they might consider pitting the olives before putting them into a salad), daily quiches, and tasty desserts. (I like the shortbread cookies myself.) The cappuccinos come with a lovely little biscotti on the side. The market has lots of lovelies, including their own pesto and olivada.
ABC Country Kitchen -- which seems to specialize in smoked pork, including a full rack of ribs that is soft, juicy, and tasty. (They also do pulled pork, which I have not tasted yet, but it promises to be pretty darn good.) And, their strawberry milkshake is dandy.
Earl's is a chain, and I am a regular when in Medicine Hat. Their dried ribs are great, and their martinis just the right side of dangerous. At Christmas I prefer their eggnog martini, but this time I had one or two Black Poms (pomegranate and black raspberry). And I love the parrot that sits atop the restaurant in Medicine Hat.
Sorry for the shorter than usual -- and less detailed reviews -- but . . . . . .here's a reward, just in case you're feeling unsatisfied. It is a picture from Medicine Hat of the largest teepee ever . . . .
