Ok, I read poetry. I like poetry. So, I have included poetry now and then -- Sylvia Plath on mushrooms, for example. And the only poem I know by heart is an Ogden Nash one -- which I will spare you -- and that I cannot even remember reading (or hearing) it for the first time. (It seems to have been bred into me.) So; one day, I put food poetry into google. And what did I find? The Poetry Society presents: Food Poetry Bookshelf! It doesn't quite do it for me -- no Sylvia Plath on mushrooms, for example. But you can recommend poetry to them easily. There are also lots of poems at other sites ranging from Shel Silverstein (with a bear in the frigidaire) to . . . . much more serious possibilities.
What's your favorite food poem?
